I started printing little boxes for my Soviet pigs 🐷🎄 To avoid recalculating the dimensions every time, I made a small box generator in OpenSCAD — especially since I also have some baubles, and they’re a different size 😅 The boxes turned out to be universal: you can use them for storage, tiny collections, or just as neat mini-containers 📦✨ Sharing the generator code — it’s simple, but maybe someone will find it useful 🙌 mode = "box"; // if mode != "box" will be a lid row_items = 1; columns = 3; item_size_width = 47; item_size_length = 103; item_height = 45; wall= 1.5; x = row_items*item_size_length; y = columns*item_size_width; lid_clearance = 0.5; lid_wall      = 1; lid_floor     = 1; lid_height    = 15; box_outer_x = x + 2*wall; box_outer_y = y + 2*wall; module box(){     difference(){         cube([x+2* wall, y+2* wall, item_height]);         translate([wall/2, wall/2, 1])             cube([x+wall, y+wall, item_height+1]);         echo("size: ", x+2* wall, y+2* wall, item_height);     }     if (row_items >1 ) {         for (i = [1 : row_items - 1]) {             translate([wall + i * x / row_items, wall, 0])                 cube([wall, y, item_height]);         }     }     if (columns >1 ) {         for (i = [1 : columns - 1]) {             translate([wall, wall + i * y / columns, 0])                 cube([x, wall, item_height]);         }     } } module box_lid() {     inner_x = box_outer_x + 2*lid_clearance;     inner_y = box_outer_y + 2*lid_clearance;     outer_x = inner_x + 2*lid_wall;     outer_y = inner_y + 2*lid_wall;     difference() {         cube([outer_x, outer_y, lid_height]);         translate([lid_wall, lid_wall, lid_floor])             cube([inner_x, inner_y, lid_height]);     } } if (mode == "box") {     box(); } else {     box_lid(); } #3Dprinting #OpenSCAD #storage #Sovietornaments

When I’m in the workshop, I chronically lack pockets for my tools 😅🔧 Scrolled through AliExpress… and got nothing but disappointment. Either the coveralls are designed to “show off everything possible” 🙈, or they seem to have forgotten about pockets during the design stage 🤦‍♀️ But coveralls are supposed to be workwear, not a stage costume 😄👖 #workshop #3Dprinting #tools #coveralls

I really love Soviet Christmas ornaments — there’s something truly magical about them, just like the holiday itself ✨🎄 Sometimes I buy them second-hand, and this year I decided to treat myself to a little nostalgic gift before the New Year. Surprisingly, the ones I found were new. The seller somehow got hold of 20 boxes years ago and is now selling them off. I received a random set, and even though it included different figurines, the little piggies instantly became my favorite 🐷💖 There was one issue: the paint had cracked in some places, and even a gentle touch could cause a chip. I sealed everything with acrylic varnish ✨ Next, I’ll print a storage box on my 3D printer — and I’ll happily enjoy these adorable piggies for many holidays to come 🎄🖨️ #sovietornaments #newyear #hobby #holidaymagic

Last year I 3D-printed little snakes as gifts 🐍 It turned out way cheaper than buying candy or store-bought souvenirs 🍬🛍 People reacted much more emotionally to these presents — you can see on their faces that they really appreciate it 😊 And for the Year of the Horse I’m going to give unicorns and ponies 🦄🐴 So, fellow 3D printers, feel free to steal this life hack 😁 #3Dprinting #handmadegifts #YearOfTheHorse #lifehack

The more contacts you have, the more weird “investment opportunities” start showing up 🤦‍♀️ People invite me into financial pyramids or suggest I “invest in a trader.” All these offers have one thing in common — completely unrealistic returns: 50, 100, 150% per year or even higher 💸🔥 There’s a simple rule: if the promised return is way above what banks offer, then it’s either a scam, or the person promoting it is so naïve and clueless about finance that they have no idea what they’re doing 🤷‍♀️ For reference: Warren Buffett’s fund earns around 10% annually on average, has been around for decades, and has an impeccable reputation 📉📈 Every time I get such a “super-profitable” offer, I politely decline. But out of curiosity, I later ask how the project is doing. And guess what? Not a single “trader” or “high-yield scheme” lasted more than 2–6 months before burning through the money 😬 All these stories follow the same pattern: 1️⃣ No financial or economic education 2️⃣ Haven’t read a single book on trading, analysis, or finance 3️⃣ Trading from a phone or tablet as their “terminal” 4️⃣ Sky-high overconfidence 🚀 Just last week, a barista I know was raising money “to manage.” I think it’s obvious that he’s already confidently in the red 🙄 My dear followers, tell me how people have tried to scam you — the weirdest and most ridiculous attempts are welcome 🥲🤭 #finance #investing #scam #personalexperience

Do you love math and programming? I do ❤️ That’s why all my technical parts start as code: the draft of a 3D model for my BMW seat pocket is already done 💻📐 I also tried to fix the leather on the pocket with a repair kit, but it turned out terrible 😅 The color was completely off, so I had to wash everything off 🧽 #3Dprinting #BMW #carrepair #DIY
