#Venezuela🇻🇪 IHRF Condemns US Military Aggression Against Venezuela as International Terrorism; Calls for Immediate Relocation of UN Headquarters. #PressRelease #UnitedStates #venezuelainvasion MADRID, Spain – January 3, 2026 – The International Human Rights Foundation (IHRF) issues this statement to condemn, in the harshest and most unequivocal terms, the unilateral military aggression launched by the United States of America against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. The IHRF views this unprovoked attack not merely as a geopolitical dispute, but as a catastrophic failure of diplomacy and a direct assault on the principles of global stability. In light of these events, the Foundation declares the following: Extreme Concern for Civilian Life. Our primary priority is the immediate protection of the Venezuelan people. We express extreme alarm regarding the imminent threat to the right to life of the civilian population. The use of military force in populated areas constitutes a humanitarian crisis of the aggressor's making. We hold the United States government fully accountable for every loss of life resulting from this incursion. Condemnation of the Breach of International Law. This military action represents a flagrant and grave rupture of International Law. The United States has violated the core tenets of national sovereignty and non-intervention. Such actions dismantle the legal framework that holds the international community together, replacing the rule of law with the rule of force. Demand for Respect of Democratic Institutions. The IHRF expresses its full confidence in, and demands absolute respect for, the democratically elected public institutions of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. The sovereignty of a nation resides in its people and their chosen representatives; no foreign power has the legitimacy to dismantle or supersede the will of the Venezuelan electorate. Designation of Acts as International Terrorism. We explicitly condemn these military operations as acts of international terrorism perpetrated by the United States of America. Utilizing state military apparatus to terrorize a sovereign population and decapitate a government falls strictly within the definition of terror. The United States is hereby operating as a state sponsor and perpetrator of terror on a global scale. The Unsustainability of US Military Alliances. It has become legally and morally impossible for the international community to maintain alliances, agreements, or treaties of military cooperation with the United States. This is a nation that not only practices, harbors, and sponsors international terrorism but has also demonstrated a volatile willingness to threaten the territorial integrity of its own neighbors (Canada) and long-standing allies (Denmark). The US has proven itself an erratic and dangerous actor, unfit for strategic partnership. Call to Relocate the United Nations. Given that the United States can no longer be considered a neutral or safe ground for global diplomacy, the IHRF formally calls upon the United Nations (UN) and other major international bodies to immediately initiate the process of changing the physical location of their headquarters and critical infrastructure. It is imperative to reduce the world's territorial dependence on the United States to ensure the impartiality and safety of international governance. Urgent Appeal to Enforce the UN Charter. Finally, we issue a global appeal to all free nations and international actors. It is the duty of the global community to respect and enforce the Charter of the United Nations. We call upon the world to defend the principles of the Charter and the sovereignty of Venezuela by any means necessary.
